Sash: Royally Lost by Angie Stanton - BOOK REVIEW
I recommend this one for readers who are in the mood for something super light and fun!
InspirYAtion Board: Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini
Sash: The Prince of Venice Beach by Blake Nelson - BOOK REVIEW
Not what I consider a “light read”, with a character who reminded me so much of Alaska from John Green’s Looking for Alaska, I’d recommend The Prince of Venice Beach to YA fans who can handle the non-fluffy side of contemporary.
Em: Idols by Margaret Stohl - BOOK REVIEW
Final Note: The ending wasn’t too predictable and I was a little shocked at how Stohl decided to end it. However, there was still something left to be desired when I finished.
Sash: (Don’t You) Forget About Me by Kate Karyus Quinn - BOOK REVIEW
There are lots of things in this one that I liked: the weird world, the sister relationship, and those little pills (Forget Me Nots) but this was just a tad too weird, even for me.
Em: Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre - BOOK REVIEW
This book is a serious thriller with an emotional roller coaster ranging from despair to righteous anger. I absolutely LOVED it and would recommend it to anyone who loves supernatural YA.
Sash: Wildflower by Alecia Whitaker - BOOK REVIEW
This book reminds me of Miranda Lambert’s first album, Kerosene. It’s fun and fresh – very country singer-songwriter with a nod to bluegrass (banjos!) and the slightest hint of pop – those catchy hooks (Notice Me!).
